- The Constitutional Court
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo issues today its Resolutions on Inadmissibility in the cases: KI-46/10; KI-52/10; KI-43/11; KI-78/11; KI-81/11 (known as the Kiqina cases).
The Referrals were joined and dealt with together due to the subject matter and persons involved.
All of the Referrals concerned an attempt to overturn convictions of the District Courts for murder and other serious offences against persons arising from events in 2001.
Based on the constitutional provisions and the practice and jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasburg, this Court rejected the Referrals.
The Resolutions on Inadmissibility are going to be served on the parties and they will be available on the website of the Court and will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo.
