On 15 and 16 September 2011, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), is organizing a workshop focusing on topics related to certain constitutional – law issues.

The Judge of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, Mr. Wilhelm Schluckebier, will be a guest speaker to this workshop.

The workshop shall be held in the courtroom of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, starting at 9:00 hrs, whereby media are welcome to take pictures of the event.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
