Arta Rama-Hajrizi has been elected President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo on 21 May 2015 and was re-elected for a second term on 22 May 2018. She also teaches Constitutional Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Prishtina.

Between 2014 and 2018, Arta Rama-Hajrizi was appointed substitute member of the Venice Commission representing Republic of Kosovo.

Prior to her appointment as Judge of the Constitutional Court in 2012, President Rama-Hajrizi, has been a member of the first group of the appointees to the Foreign Service of the Republic of Kosovo in 2008, whereby she was appointed as the first Consul General and founder of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, in which capacity she served from 2008 until 2012.

During the period 2007-2008, she was a member of the team of experts of the Constitutional Commission for drafting the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the Law on the Constitutional Court. President Rama-Hajrizi has also worked on several USAID projects in Kosovo to reform the justice and judicial system in the Republic of Kosovo. Moreover, she was legal adviser at the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo financed by USAID.

For several years President Rama-Hajrizi has worked as an expert in the implementation of many projects to increase awareness for respect and protection of human rights and freedoms in Kosovo through the Finnish Human Rights Program.

President Rama-Hajrizi has published numerous scientific papers and professional researches within the frame of various projects in the country and abroad, and she has also conducted many professional and study visits for the purpose of professional development.

President Rama-Hajrizi studied law at the University of Prishtina, and obtained the MA degree in Law and Government at Washington College of Law, American University, in Washington DC, with the Rob Brown scholarship program donated by the State Department of the United States for students of South-Eastern Europe. She is currently attending her PhD studies at the University of Prishtina.

President Rama-Hajrizi is married and has two sons.
