The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall stay for a visit in The Hague, Netherlands, on 15 and 16 November 2011. He is excepted to attend the annual conference of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) – “Global Legacy Conference”.

This is the second conference organized by the Hague Tribunal, which gathers internationally renowned statesmen, judges and academicians at a roundtable to discuss the impact of this Tribunal in the international humanitarian law and the advancement of human rights.

President Hasani has been invited to this conference by the President of the Hague Tribunal, Mr. Patrick Robinson.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
