The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo will celebrate the 8th Judicial Year with a solemn ceremony which will be held at Dyar room, “Swiss Diamond Hotel” in Prishtina, on Wednesday, 25 October 2017.

The ceremony will start at 17:00 and is expected to be attended by the highest-rank state representatives, accredited representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations in the country and the highest-level delegations from the Constitutional Court of Albania, Constitutional Court of Montenegro, Constitutional Court of Macedonia, Constitutional Court of Bulgaria, Constitutional Court of Turkey and the Supreme Court of Albania.

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Arta Rama-Hajrizi, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Kadri Veseli, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj, and the former President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Jasna Omejec, shall address the participants with an occasion speech.

The ceremony will conclude with a cocktail reception for the attendees.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
