The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Arta Rama-Hajrizi, received in a meeting the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, who is accompanied by the judges of that Court, Mrs. Altina Xhoxhaj and Mr. Fatmir Hoxha, on Wednesday, 11th of May 2016.

After she thanked them for the visit, President Rama-Hajrizi initially informed President Dedja and judges Xhoxhaj and Hoxha about the recent developments in the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, thereby pointing out some of the challenges that this Court continues to face regarding functioning issues.

She expressed her gratitude for the support that the Constitutional Court of Albania has continuously provided to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, both through exchange of experiences and through joint initiatives, which always aim at professional advancement of the Court’s advisors and judges.

Further during the conversation, President Rama-Hajrizi and President Dedja treated other issues of general interest for the functioning of the judiciary and the reform in the judicial systems of both countries, whereupon both sides exchanged views regarding further deepening of the cooperation between the two Constitutional Courts.

The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania is staying on an official visit in the country at the invitation of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo and on this occasion it will also meet with leaders of other state institutions.
