The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Arta Rama-Hajrizi held a meeting with the Ambassador of France to our country, Ms. Maryse Daviet, on Thursday, 8 October 2015.

After thanking her for the visit, President Rama-Hajrizi initially informed Ambassador Daviet of the latest developments in the Constitutional Court, the workflow and the current challenges, and drew the attention to the urgent need to fill two vacant positions for Judges in order to maintain the stability and sustainability of the institution. 

She also underlined the continuous efforts that the Constitutional Court of Kosovo is making for the membership to the Conference of European Constitutional Courts and considered further intensification of communication and mutual cooperation with the counterpart institutions of the region and beyond as highly important.

President Rama-Hajrizi expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided to the Constitutional Court and our country by the French state, especially when it comes to the implementation of reforms in the field of justice and the strengthening of the rule of law.

Ambassador Daviet, after congratulating President Rama-Hajrizi on her appointment to the new office, confirmed the importance that the complete composition of the judges has for the Court stability and expressed the willingness of France to further continue supporting the Constitutional Court in order to strengthen the lawfulness in the country.
