The Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of Kosovo in a joint conference with their counterpart courts from Albania

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, supported by the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), organizes the joint conference with the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Albania, and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, on the topic: “The balance between legality and constitutionality control, limits in jurisdiction and access to justice”.

This is the second joint conference of this nature organized between the counterpart courts of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania, which will be held at the “Four Points by Sheraton Hotel” in Pristina, on Thursday, 14 December 2023, starting at 09:30.

In addition to judges from the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Albania,  one of the main panelists at the Conference will be the former judge of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, Mrs. Gabriele Britz.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
