President Caka – Nimani on a working visit to Rome

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Gresa Caka – Nimani, stayed for a working visit in the Italian capital, Rome, on 22-24 September 2022.

She was invited to participate in the judicial seminar with the topic on “Constitutionality and the Rule of Law”, organized by the Law School of the University of Notre Dame in Rome, in cooperation with the Kellogg Institute for International Studies based in the USA.

Constitutional adjudication, methods of constitutional interpretation, fundamental rights and the competencies of the executive power in extraordinary circumstances, were just some of the topics addressed in the joint discussion between judges of the European constitutional courts and judges from the US Supreme Court, as well as academics and international experts in the field of law.

During her stay in Rome, President Caka – Nimani met with the judge of the US Supreme Court, Mr. Brett Kavanaugh, as well as judge of the Constitutional Court of Italy, Mr. Nicolo Zanon.
