The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, traveled to Tirana for a two-day working visit on Monday, 6 April 2015, where he will hold a series of meetings with the highest state leaders of the Republic of Albania.

During his stay in the Albanian capital, President Hasani shall hold separate meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, and the President of the Supreme Court of Albania, Prof. Dr. Xhezair Zaganjori, on Tuesday, 7 April 2015.

President Hasani shall be hosted also in a meeting by the Rector of the University of Tirana, Mr. Dhori Kule, whereupon before academics and students of the Faculty of Law shall hold a lecture in relation to the latest developments in the constitutional judiciary of Kosovo.

During his visit, on Wednesday, 8 April 2015, President Hasani will meet with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, as well as with the Minister of Justice of this country, Mr. Nasip Naço.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
