On Wednesday, 23 January 2013, the Vice President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Ivan Čukalović, and the international Judge of the Court, Prof. Dr. Snezhana Botusharova, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Norway to Kosovo, Jan Braathu.

In the meeting it was discussed about important issues for the development of the constitutional justice in Kosovo and continued contribution that Norway gives to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo.

Both sides expressed their readiness to further deepening of the cooperation as well as to exchange experiences between the Constitutional Court and the Norwegian justice system. 

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
