On 23 and 24 March 2012, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by the President of the Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, will stay for a visit to Regensburg, Germany, where it will take part in the 14th International Congress of European and Comparative Constitutional Law.  

In the frame of numerous presentations in the Congress by academics and Judges of the European Constitutional Courts, President Hasani will hold a speech on the topic: “The role of the Constitutional Court in constitutionalisation of politics in Kosovo”.

During his stay in Regensburg, President Hasani will also have meetings with officials of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), which is the organizer of this Congress.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
