The Constitutional Court organizes the Second Annual Meeting of the Balkan Constitutional Courts Forum

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo will be hosting the Second Annual Meeting of the Balkan Constitutional Courts Forum, in the capacity of one of the founding members and with equal rights of this international professional forum of constitutional justice.

The first anniversary of the establishment of the Balkan Constitutional Courts Forum will be marked through several activities and the international conference organized on the topic: “Evolutions in contemporary constitutional justice – the example of the Balkan region“, which will be held at the “Emerald Hotel” in Pristina, on Thursday, 24th of October 2024, starting at 09:00.

The conference shall run its work in two sessions, where among the main speakers will be the presidents and judges of the constitutional courts of the countries of the region, representatives of the European Court of Human Rights, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the Venice Commission and World Association of Jurists.

The Forum of Constitutional Courts of the Balkans, established on 27th of October 2023, unites the Constitutional Courts of Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Turkey, around the common values of democracy, the rule of law and protection of human rights.

This professional forum was established in order to strengthen the cooperation between the constitutional courts of the region and to serve as a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences on constitutional justice.
