The President of the Constitutional Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani held today an official meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Mr. Andy Sparkes and the Director of the Office of DFID in Kosovo, Mr. Robert Watt.
The conversation focused around the functioning of the justice system, the corruption phenomenon in the judiciary, the organizational and functional structure of the Constitutional Court and its decision taking process, as well as other matters relating to the Rule of Law in our country.
The President of the Court, Mr. Hasani informed the official visitors about the challenges facing the Constitutional Court, as a new institution in our country, also, informed them about the fact that the Constitutional Court has been approached by non-majority Communities, respectively Serbs, which clearly show impartiality and professionalism in the workings of the Court.
President Hasani thanked the British Government, the Office of DFID for the continuing help regarding the capacity building of the Court.
On the other side, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Sparkes and the Director of DFID, Mr. Watt reassured the President of the Court, Mr. Hasani, that he will enjoy the unsparing help of their institutions in regard to the continuous capacity building of the Court towards a better functioning and in accordance with the mission of the Constitutional Court, as the final authority in the Republic of Kosovo on the interpretation of the Constitution.
