Upon the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, on January 28-30, 2010, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by the President of the Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, and comprised of Deputy President Mr. Sc. Kadri Kryeziu, Judges, Prof. Dr. Ivan Čukalović, Prof. Dr. Iliriana Islami and Dr. Altay Suroy, and the Secretary General, Mr. Sc. Arbëresha Raça-Shala, will make an official visit to Tirana, the first visit in the history of cooperation between the two Courts.
According to the agenda, the first day meetings will begin with a reception by the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, Dr. Vladimir Kristo and his staff, for the members of the Kosovo Constitutional Court.
On the second day, Friday, January 29, the delegation of the Kosovo Constitutional Court shall receive a special reception by the President of the Republic of Albania, HE Mr. Bamir Topi, Albanian Parliament Speaker, Mrs. Jozefina Topalli, and the President of the Supreme Court of Albania, Mrs. Shpresa Beçaj.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
