At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, led by the President of the Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, travelled to Ankara on Sunday, 26 April 2015.

President Hasani and the delegation of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo have been invited to participate in the international symposium on the topic: “Assessment of the Judgments on Individual Application – Challenges and Remedies”, which will take place in the Turkish capital on 27 and 28 of April 2015. 

The symposium is organized on the occasion of the celebration of 53rd anniversary of the establishment of the Constitutional Court of Turkey.

During the visit to Ankara, President Hasani will also meet with the President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, Mr. Zühtü Arslan.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
