At the invitation of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, has traveled for a visit to Vienna, Austria, on Sunday, 28 September 2014.

During his visit at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, President Hasani shall deliver a lecture on the topic: “The Role of Constitutional Court in the development of the Rule of Law in Kosovo”, which will be held on Monday, 29 September 2014.

During his stay in Vienna, President Hasani shall also meet with the President of the Constitutional Court of Austria, Prof. Dr. Gerhart Holzinger.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
