The Constitutional Court is in the June-July, 2014 deliberation sessions.

Upon the request of Judge Kadri Kryeziu, Judge Kryeziu will not participate in the deliberations of this session of the Court until after a final report of the Committee of Judges established by a decision of the President of the Court is submitted to the Court and the Court has made findings and conclusions with respect to the allegations made against Judge Kryeziu have been decided.

It is anticipated that the Committee of Judges will complete its report and that the Court will make a final decision on the allegations in the near future.

 

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
