At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, led by the President of the Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, travelled today on a working visit to Tirana.  

The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo has been invited to participate in the Scientific Conference on the topic: “The Constitution as an instrument of sustainability and development”, which will be held in the Albanian capital, on Friday, 22nd of November 2013, on the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.

At this conference, which is expected to be attended by high representatives of the Albanian state, representatives of the justice system and academicians, the President of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Prof. dr. Enver Hasani, will deliver a presentation on the subject: “Basic features of the Constitutional Law in Kosovo”.

The conference is organized by the Constitutional Court of Albania in cooperation with the Venice Commission and German Foundation “Hanns Seidel”.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
