The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. dr Enver Hasani, today received the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. sc Mato Arlović. 

During this meeting, President Hasani initially informed judge Arlović on the structure and organization of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, and then made a short presentation on consolidation of the constitutional judiciary in the country.

He praised the cooperation with the Constitutional Court of Croatia as excellent and expressed readiness that in the future this exchange of mutual experiences is promoted to a higher level.

Judge Arlović pledged to further intensify relations between this two homologue courts and considered as very valuable the role of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo in democracy building and aligning our country to the European Union.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
