A group of students from the Young Leaders School, which is part of the education program of the NGO, Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo (YIHR), visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo today.

Students were received by the President of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, who held a short lecture on the development of the constitutionality in the country and informed young guests on the functioning of the institution he is heading.

At the end of the visit, President Hasani thanked the students for their interest on the work of the CCK, wishing them success in their future education.

 

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
