The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, since it became functional in 2009, has been located in the building of the former Kosovo Protection Corps – KPC, located in the center of Prishtina, in the area of Pejton. The position of the Court’s building in the center of the capital city, symbolizes an equal access to all citizens and other authorized parties to the Constitutional Justice. Over the years this building has been adapted according to the needs and nature of work of the Constitutional Court. This has been carried out with the support of our donors, as in the case of construction of the Courtroom of the Court which has been funded by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey in 2010, the establishment of the Library of the Court which was entirely supported by GIZ Legal Reform Project and the donation of additional office space/containers by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey in 2011.
The building of the Court has a usable office space of 1 937 m2.
