The Constitutional Court will organize the activity “Open Court Day”, on Friday, 8 April 2022.

This activity, which from this year will be held every first Friday of April, is organized in order to raise awareness and better inform the public on the role and function of the Constitutional Court, as well as to increase the level of transparency to the public.

On this day, all citizens, especially law students, representatives of the legal community and other visitors, will have the opportunity to visit the building of the Constitutional Court and get to know the Courtroom, the Library and the premises in which the judges and officials of the Court work, as well as be directly informed about the history, the work so far and the constitutional competencies of this institution.

The organization of the visit of the interested citizens will be done in accordance with the accommodation capacities of the Constitutional Court’s building and for the groups of not more than fifteen (15) persons at the same time. The visits will be organized every hour, between 10:00 and 14:00, while the maximum duration of the visit will be forty five (45) minutes.

Before visiting the Court, all visitors over the age of 16 must have with them and submit at the reception an official identity document (student card, identity card or passport) and must adhere to all applicable anti-Covid measures.

During the visit, visitors will have the opportunity to take pictures only in the Courtroom and in the courtyard of the Court.

“Open Court Day” is an activity planned in the Strategic Plan of the Court (2021 – 2025) and is organized to mark the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kosovo, adopted on 9 April 2008.

The next announcements for the organization of the activity “Open Court Day” will be published every beginning of April, on the website of the Constitutional Court: www.gjk-ks.org.
