The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Arta Rama-Hajrizi, received in a meeting the President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Xhezair Zaganjori, accompanied by the Judge of this Court, Mr. Tom Ndrecaj, on Friday, 8 April 2016.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged their ideas and viewpoints on the further advancement of the work in both courts, emphasizing the standardization of the adjudication and the consistency of case law.

Both Presidents confirmed the important role that the incidental control plays in the unification of the local legislation, in increasing the adjudication standards and the quality of decisions, for further progress in the judiciary systems of the two countries.

President Rama-Hajrizi further presented her idea about the opportunities of mutual cooperation between the counterpart courts of the two countries, and in this regard expressed her special gratitude for the international donors, which have continuously provided their support in implementation of the joint projects.

President Zaganjori committed to strengthening the mutual cooperation of the two Courts and exchanging experiences between them, while highly appreciating the work of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo thus far.

The meeting was also attended by the Judge of the Constitutional Court, Ms. Selvete Gërxhaliu-Krasniqi and President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Mr. Fejzullah Hasani.
