In honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks that rocked Brussels on 22 March 2016, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Arta Rama-Hajrizi, signed the book of condolences opened at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Prishtina on Thursday, 24 March 2016.

“Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the people of Belgium”, President Rama-Hajrizi wrote among others in her message.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
