The President of the Constitutional Court, Arta Rama-Hajrizi, held a meeting with the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherland to Kosovo, Mrs. Gerrie Willems, on Tuesday, 27 October 2015.

During the meeting, President Rama-Hajrizi informed Ambassador Willems with the work done so far by the Constitutional Court, current challenges in its functioning as well as the implementation of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights during the review of the Referrals.

President Rama-Hajrizi underlined the good cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Kosovo and constitutional courts of other countries, considering as very important the cooperation and mutual exchange of experiences for development of the constitutional judiciary in the country.

She thanked ambassador Willems for the support that the Kingdom of Netherland has provided to the Constitutional Court and our country in the rule of law as well as for membership at the various international organizations.

Ambassador Willems expressed her country’s readiness to further support the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, in advancement of the democratic standards for implementation of justice by consolidating the constitutional and legal framework.
