The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo in cooperation with the German International Cooperation (GIZ), organizes a workshop on the topic: “Disciplinary measures and proceedings for judges and legal advisers”, which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, on 20 and 21 May 2015, at “Sirius” Hotel in Prishtina.

In this workshop among others will be addressed the issue of procedures and disciplinary measures for judges and legal advisors in the Constitutional Court of Germany, the Constitutional Court of Austria and the Constitutional Court of Spain.

Participants of this workshop shall be addressed with a welcoming speech by Mr. Malte Kirchner, Manager of the Legal Reform Project which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German government. The moderator of the workshop will be the legal advisor to the Constitutional Court of Germany, Dr. Thorsten Ehrbeck.

The workshop shall commence at 14:00 hrs on Wednesday, 20 May 2015, while on Thursday, 21 May 2015, it shall commence at 10:00 hrs.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
