The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo today became a member of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice.

The Constitutional Court membership to the World Conference on Constitutional Justice was made possible following the activation of membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the Venice Commission.

President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, has been invited to participate in the 3rd Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, which this year shall be held in Seoul, Republic of South Korea, between 28 September and 1 October 2014.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
