On Monday, 14 October 2013, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo shall mark the 4th Judicial Year by a solemn ceremony that will be held at the “Beethoven” Hall of “Emerald” Hotel in Prishtina, commencing at 17:00 hrs. 

Delegations of the highest level of the Constitutional Court of Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, and the Supreme Court of Estonia, as well as the high level state personalities and international representatives in Kosovo will attend this ceremony.  

The President of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall address the participants of this ceremony with an occasional speech, as well as the President of the Constitutional Court of Portugal, Dr. Joaquim José Coelho de Sousa Ribeiro, and the President of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velikov Tokushev. 

The ceremony will conclude with a cocktail reception for the invited guests. 

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
