On Monday, 14th of October 2013, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, will receive in a joint meeting the President of the Constitutional Court of Portugal, Dr. Joaquim José Coelho de Sousa Ribeiro, the President of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velikov Tokushev, the Deputy President of the Constitutional Court of Austria, Dr. Brigitte Bierlein, the Judge of the Supreme Court of Estonia, Mr. Juri Ilvest, and the renowned Professor from the University of Regensburg in Germany, Prof. Dr. Rainer Arnold.   

The meeting will take place in the Library of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo and it will commence at 11:00 hrs.

The high level delegations from the European courts are staying in Kosovo at the invitation to attend the ceremony of the Fourth Judicial Year of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
