The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall travel for a visit in Turkey at the invitation of the University Kocaeli in Izmit city, on Sunday 17 March 2013.

During this visit, President Enver Hasani will be awarded with the title Doctor Honoris Causa from the prestigious University Kocaeli, on Tuesday 19 March 2013.

President Hasani, during his stay at this university, will conduct meetings with distinguished researchers and academics in the field of the Constitutional Law in Turkey.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
