The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. dr. Enver Hasani, yesterday evening organized a farewell dinner on behalf of the Court for the two Judges, Dr. Gjyljeta Mushkolaj and Prof. dr. Iliriana Islami, whose three year term of office with the Court ended yesterday.

In his speech on behalf of the colleagues and associates, President Hasani thanked Judge Mushkolaj and Judge Islami for their professional contribution during their work with the Court and afterwards he presented to them the appreciations of the Constitutional Court, wishing them success in their future career.

President Hasani and his associates today welcomed the newly appointed Judge to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Mrs. Arta Rama – Hajrizi, who took the oath yesterday and was decreed by the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
