At the invitation of the Turkish Constitutional Court, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by its President, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall travel tomorrow for an official visit to Turkey.

President Hasani and his associates have been invited to attend the international symposium which shall be organized on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Constitutional Court of Turkey.

During this symposium, President Hasani shall hold a lecture on the topic: “The Role of the Constitutional Court in the Constitutionalization of Politics in Kosovo”.

The President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, Mr. Haşim Kılıç, and other senior state officials, shall organize special receptions for the CCK delegation during their stay in the Turkish capital.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
