A delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by its President, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall stay for a study visit in the Republic of Estonia, at the invitation of its Supreme Court, from 8 to 11 November 2011.

During the course of this four-day visit, President Hasani and his associates shall meet judges of the Supreme Court of Estonia, Ministry of Justice senior officials, the President of the Constitutional Commission of Estonian Parliament, and representatives of Ombudsperson’s Office.

The visit has been enabled through the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
