Representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, headed by its President Bashkim Dedja, and representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia, headed by its President Branko Naumoski, visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo today.

They were received by the President of the Court, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, who informed his counterparts with the work of the Constitutional Court done so far, focusing on the process of approving and implementing decisions of the Court.

Presidents Dedja and Naumoski thanked President Hasani for the invitation on the occasion of the ceremony of the Second Judicial Year of the institution he is heading and confirmed their readiness to deepen the further cooperation and support for the membership of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo into the Conference of the Constitutional Courts of Europe.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
