The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo jointly with the GIZ Legal Reform Project is organizing a professional workshop on “Summary of responses to the questions of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo Judges directed to Prof. Dr. Lothar Michael”.

Prof. Dr. Lothar Michael, professor of constitutional law and expert of constitutional justice in Germany, will give a presentation on legal compendium regarding constitutional issues; introduce comparisons between constitutional law of Germany and Kosovo.

The two-day Seminar will be held in the Constitutional Court in Prishtina, on 7 and 8 April 2011.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
