International students of human rights visited the Court

The Judge of the Constitutional Court, Mrs. Remzije Istrefi-Peci hosted in a joint meeting a group of international students of the European Master’s Program in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) from university campuses in Vienna and Venice.

The function that the Constitutional Court has in the legal system of the Republic of Kosovo, its organizational structure, the authorized parties to submit referrals and the important role that the Court has played over the years in establishing and protecting the foundations of the constitutional order, were just some of the topics which judge Istrefi – Peci discussed in her presentation.

Judge Istrefi – Peci also informed the international students about the admissibility criteria and the handling of the submitted referrals, the decision-making process of the Court and the constant reference that is made in each of its decisions to the case law of the European Court for Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights.
