Prof. Dr. ass. Kadri Kryeziu (1958) is a former Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo and Doctor of Juridical Science.

He has an extended experience in social and political engagements, and was one of the organizers of the student demonstrations in Prishtina, in March 1981. He was engaged in human rights and freedoms matters as the Chairman of the CPHRF in Prizren, during period 1990-1995.

In his political engagements he was a member of the Presidency of the Parliamentary Party of Kosovo (1991-2002) and also a member of the Presidency of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (2000-2009). After the war, in 1999, he was the President of the Municipality of Prizren, a post which he held until the end of year 2000. Also, during 2000-2004, he was advisor in the Municipal Assembly of Prizren. During 2004, he acted as the Chief inspector of environment with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, whereas he also held the post of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry for a full mandate (December 2004 – January 2008).

During the period 2007 – 2008, ex-Judge Kryeziu was a member of the Constitutional Commission of the Republic of Kosovo as well as the member of the Working Group for Security, in cooperation with KFOR, UNMIK, ICO, OSCE, EUPT and UN-AUS.

Ex-Judge Kryeziu has also an excellent experience in educational process: He has been a lecturer of “The Constitutional Law” in the High School of Prizren (1996-2004). Whereas, since 2005 he lectures “The Constitutional Law” in “Illyria” University in Prishtina. Also, since the academic year 2010-2011, he is a professor at the University of Prizren, lecturing on the following subjects: “Constitutional Law”, “Introduction to the theory of Law” and “Origins of Law and Administrative Law”.

He has published three books in domain of justice: “Right to elect as a fundamental and political right of people“(2004), “Election Law“(2007), ”Prizren city-state, Prefecture, Municipality”(2013). He also has manuscripts of three other books: “Birth of pluralism in Kosovo 1989-1998”, “Origins of Law” and “Comparative Constitutional Law”, as well as over 100 research articles published in various national and international journals.
