At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of South Korea and the Venice Commission, the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Ivan Cukalovic, has traveled to Seoul on Saturday, 27 September 2014.

Vice-President Cukalovic shall represent the Constitutional Court of Kosovo at the 3rd Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, which this year will take place in Seoul from 28 September until 1 October 2014.

The Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, this year gathers representatives of the Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts from 92 countries around the world.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo became a member of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice on 17 September 2014.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
