On Friday, 30 September 2011, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasani, shall receive for an official visit Mr. Tom Leighton, Vice-President of the internationally renowned company, Thomson/Reuters.

This company is also the main sponsor of the one year donation of WestLaw electronic legal resource and database network, which will provide the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo access to judicial documents and decisions, which no other court in the region has at its disposal.

The meeting with Mr. Leighton shall take place in the courtroom of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, starting at 10:00 hrs, whereby a cocktail shall be organized after the press conference.

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo was established in January 2009.

With its authority to review legislation and individual complaints of rights violations, the Court is the ultimate check on legislative and executive power in Kosovo and the final arbiter of the meaning of constitutional provisions enshrining human rights and freedoms.
